Purchased a Canon vixia HF R10 HD camcorder in September and have recorded and downloaded over 70 hockey games with no problems. Now it will no recognize that the camera has video files, only recognizes photos. The computer does recognize that the camera is connected. Also tried placing the sd card directly into the computer and again no luck. Any ideas.
Thanks in advance

Raises more questions than solutions???
Your Canon only records in HD, mp4 files.
These cannot be directly added to V2D, it only accepts mpg files…
The only way I see to get the ‘movies’ into V2D is by using V2D to capture from the Canon, (in SD) using the Composite video adapter supplied with your Canon… That is the one with the RCA, Yellow/White/Red plugs on one end and a single plug on the other end with 3 separators in it.
You must have the charger running on the Canon when you attempt to play back for capture.
As far as the SD card, unless you have set your Canon to record movies on that card, the default is to record to the internal 8 GB memory…
So how have you recorded the other games?
Any idea what has changed?
