TAO=Track at once
DAO=Disc at once
With TAO, the laser stops between each track, so true 0 second pauses can not be created. A TAO disc must have 2 second pauses. With DAO, the laser stays on and burns the enter disc. This allows 0 second pauses, CD-TEXT and other sub-code info to be written.
Even if TAO is selected, Toast will write DAO if gaps are set to anything but 2 seconds or CD-TEXT is turned on.
If you really want TAO, you must turn off CD-TEXT, set all the gaps to 2 seconds and turn on TAO.
