I have an animation from After Effects 720x486 set with a widescreen ratio. Rendered out as Quicktime mov.

When I use toast to encode and burn a dvd disc, (with settings set for 16:9) it looks fine on a widescreen TV and letterboxed on a regular TV, which is all good.

But on a mac's dvd player the window is wide but there are wide black pillars on the left and right sides and the animation is squished horizontally. Even on a Windows PC.

Even in toast's little preview it is squished horizontally (but not as much as in mac's dvd player) but there are no pillars on the sides and it does show letterboxing but very skinny.

Any clues????
