When improted into MY DVD, the only portion that will import is the audio portion of the file...the remainder is a black or white screen.

Okay, your subject says, "Easy Media Creator 2010", and you posted in the "Creator 2010" area. However, there was no such beast as, "Easy Media Creator 2010." There was, "Easy Media Creator 10", and there was "Creator 2010." Which do you have? (For details, start up your program, then click "Help" and "About".)
