trying to convert dvr-ms but alway HD issue and codec fault

hi there,

since I changed to v 3.10, mytvtogo is not working anymore.
All recording appear as HD records and there is not  even one file above the usual PAL resolution.
I own a Hauppauge Nova-S and xp Media Center 2005 is working perfect together  with MCE. Furthermore I have a 2nd install with the latest Vista and its MCE. Together with my XBOX360 its even better. Everything is working fine ;-)

But OK,... my probs with MTVTG are more important at this time.
Whats pretty borring is, that I get alway this "famous" High-Def window and its really annoying.
Even the transcoding with MTVTG is not working anymore...^#!&!!!

As I've said, I recorded it in PAL and there is NO reason, that the new version shuts down every time.
In the help menu, when checking the codec the system tells, that its fine but when the conversion stops with an error, its claiming an unsupportet codec ??!!??

I've tried so far Cyberlink DVD7 and 6, Nvidia Pure Video, the latest Roxio comming with MTVTG and even some Nero codec. None of 'em will will....

Here's a short log, that I've taken. Can anybody from Roxio support tell me what went wrong or where to change the codec used.

I did it with Microsofts Codec change utillity DECCHECK. In MCE I've seen a change from on to another but MTVTG is still not working even after a reboot of my PC.

Since v.3.00 is  been working fine (as Trail), can anybody provide a link to 3.0? On Roxios website, there is only 3.1 to find. I'd like to rollback to the old one!!!

The serial number you entered is not valid. You are using a serial number for a version of MyTV ToGo that has not been released yet. Where did you get that serial number? hmmmm. Odd.

To fix this you can simply enter the correct serial number you received when you purchased MyTV ToGo. If you did pay for the software then you should contact Roxio support and verify your serial number is correct.

I get a similar thing again checking that the codec are right etc and all I get is 11kb of the conversion on all files.  Is there a working version 3.0 that I can d/l

I use the Hava box to stream the media but it does the same thing with a tv card and the content is not protected as far as I am aware.

Please help

Just to let you kow I downloaded the latest and greatest version of Nvidia codec and the same issue happened, I thought I had the latest but it was about 2 weeks out. So after this I chose PowerDVD6 and ran this. No Issues after using PowerDVD 6 Decoder, It puzzles me however that Nvidia is the recomended decoder.

Hopefully this may help someone else

The log file says the recorded show is probably copyright protected with CGMA protection (in which case you're not allowed to convert the show). This is typical of shows recorded from pay channels like HBO and showtime in the U.S and even some networks broadcast in DTV
