If a Powerpoint Presentation has been created, how does one bring it into Roxio to brun as a DVD?

You can't bring them in directly, or with all of the presentation effects you may have in it. All you can do is save each slide as an image file (jpg, png, bmp, ....) then use those in EMC to create a slideshow/video.
In PowerPoint, just do a File->Save as and select the image file format you want, and select to save each slide as a file when prompted.

If all you want to do is save the powerpoint file, sure, you can do that, but if you were hoping to have the slideshow play without powerpoint (such as on a TV), then you have to use larry's suggestion, as the slideshow formats used are different.
My opinions expressed are not those of roxio.

There is no way within EMC8 to do this automatically. However there are several apps on the net that will convert PowerPoint Presentations to AVI or MPEG files which can then be used to create a DVD in MyDVD 8.

you have to convert it to video format, mpeg or vob i guess. you will need a special converting program. for example this presentation to video converter. this converter can convert powerpoint to any video format and also to dvd format and it's also a cd-dvd-burner so it can also burn a cd or dvd for you. and you will be able to show your slideshows to the audience using a dvd player and a tv set!
hope it helps. good luck.
