I have
Easy Media Creator 10 Suite
Version: 1.0.044
Build: 100B44B, R03
I have the original retail store version
I am a registered user
Up to date per "Check for Updates"
I am also getting this error (see below) when I try to install SP2 or the May Update Patch
I have installed IE9 Beta...although this is closed after the file is downloaded
I also get the "Copy And Convert Crashes When Selecting Movie"
Posted 29 June 2011 - 02:18 PM
Every time I try to select a movie from a dvd to convert, I get a message stating that the program has encountered an error and is closing. I can get as far as "add movie" then select a video from the file, but when I click on the file and the Video Copy and Convert screen comes up, the error message pops up and there's no choice but to close the program. I have checked and all of the updates have been downloaded and installed according to the Roxio updater. Any ideas?

You have Easy Media Creator 10 and are trying to install an update for Roxio Creator 2010? Of course that cannot work since they are completely different products (3 years/versions apart)
EMC 10 also will not work if you have IE9 on your system.

Here is the link to the only update for Easy Media Creator 10. As Walt said, the SP2 patch, for Creator 2010, is not going to work with EMC 10.

Edit: I see in another thread, that you are running Windows 7. Is your EMC 10 on that Win 7 computer? If so, you probably aren't going to have the programs, in the suite, run correctly, since Creator 2010 is the first version that is compatible with Win 7.
