In my netreprise we used 16computer all with roxio easy cd creator but sometime with different version. on two computer (one with a version of emc9 and one with emc10), the data on the CD are not in the right place compare to the source folder.

we already try different speed and different size of projet (from 5mo to 307mo) - we always have the same issue. see the enclosed image (source on the right - result on the left)

please note that on the two computer, the same "case" give the same error - file are not place randomely.

    * What kinds of files were you using and where did you get them?
    * Did you complete your project or did it stop at a certain point in the process?
    * Have you ever successfully completed the task that you are contacting us about?

yes it is - but it's also on the 14 others that do not encounter any issue.

I forwarded the issue to the support, their response is that they do not support these version of easey CD crator. it does not matter, at the next sofwtare review, we will change for an another software vendor, one which is able to do support. after my 14 computer i think that the 400 other computers of the company will follow.

Where were the Roxio version,s purchased.....Roxio or they came pre-installed on the computer's?.

Does this only happen when you use PDF files?.

What application in the suite are you using to do this?. (Creator Classic, Drag to Disc)

FYI:

I do not know - the software is installed on all computer by default. looks to be installed by IT, as we have the same software indepedantly of the brand !

I do not try with something else than folder/pdf/xml file

I used the creator classic, not the drag to disc.

FYI : i know, but as the only response of support is "too old, we close the case", i expressed here my frustration. we do not dare of the price, the first criterium is "it must work" because we can't risk lot of money with a software that do not do the job it should do. What i said is that if i don't find a solution, an incident report will be written and at the next quality review, it will be disqualified for an other software. then, we look at the price.

I assume that the pdf files are not the same ones that are in the folder on the left but  in a renamed folder..

It is difficult to understand whay the two pdf files and the two folders transerred from the left to the right without a problem but the folders on the left did not do so also.

Does every folder on the source side (the left in the image) contain some files or are some folders empty?

Why are the 4 "identical" folders on the final disc?

the source does not containes empty folders. all folders contains one or more PDF files.

there's 4 identical folders because, in the source the folder is repeat 4 times (but in other parent folder than the one showed).

please not that this time the error is on these folders but other time is on other place. But each time the error is the reptition in one place of a folder structure repeated in different places of the "tree" (i do not know the good word in english).

There is months that this happens on some computer.

"I assume that the pdf files are not the same ones that are in the folder on the left but in a renamed folder.." - files are the same exception of those that have not been moved.

I am sorry but I do not understand how you can create 4 folders on the disc with the same name. It doesn't matter what the source parent folder is, I get an error message when I try to duplicate you problem.

Is there some way you can show the source folder structure?

In fact, i don't understand too, because it's not me but easy CD creator who did it !

please see beelow a screenshot of the structure. as you can see, there is 6 different folders (purple rectangle). inside, you have always the same structure, with files which have the same name.
