Any help

Am i in the right post area for Creator Business v10 DVD, could only see 2010 in the topic list??

Can anyone tell me if the burn speed is affected by disc quality.

Target speed is 18

burning at 4.

burner is 24 x capable

The burners firmware has burn speeds for media ID's (MID's) if your media isn't listed a generic x burn speed is defaulted.

Download this free tool and list drive and firmware version, look at the write speed descriptors for that media in your drive. dvd identifier v5.2.0 [January 10, 2009]

is this a poor quality disc??

Yes;  get some JVC Taiyo Yuden - available on -line only.

Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.

I wouldn't worry too much about target speed. The max speed is actually set by the disc itself (there's a small track which the drive reads and that tells it what the max speed will be)

You can burn slower than the rated speed - but never faster.

Anyway, the recommendation for video work is keep it slow (it's more reliable)

Download this free tool and list YOUR drive and firmware version, look at the write speed descriptors for that media (DVD-R:CMC MAG. AM3) in your drive, what does it say?
