My Roxio Creator Drag to Disc application  used to allow me to write to a CDRW, so that I could use it as a virtual external drive. Thus, I could update files without having to reformat the disc every time I wanted to add information. Now, a message appears telling me that there are files to write to the CD. If I proceed, all the current info on the CDRW will be erased. How do I get the virtual external hard drive feature back, so that I can update files on the CDRW using Drag to Disc, as if the CDRW ere an external drive? THANK YOU for your assistance. When I did a search for this issue "No Topics" were found.

Please confirm what Roxio product you have, as you have posted in the EMC 10 forum and it does not have the Drag to Disc feature. It last appeared in EMC 9,

Drag to Disc used to allow me to use my CD-RW to update specific files and folders directly to the CD-RW, as if the CD-RW were a hard drive. Now I get a message that the files are waiting to be written to the disc. It appears that if I proceed all current data on the disc will be replaced. I don't want ALL the folders and files replaced with the one to be updated. I just want to update the new information on the CD-RW for a specific file/folder. How do I get the EMC-9 to see the CD-RW as a virtual hard drive again? This is turning out to be a real challenge. THANK YOU in advance for your help!

That is the operating systems burning engine telling you "files are waiting to be written to the disc". What operating system are you running Easy Media Creator 9 on? Whats changed that Drag to Disc isn't working like it used to?

Almost 3 years later, you are asking the same question.  Here is your thread from 2008.
