What application are you using? Do you have Creator 2010? Timer? Are you talking about space left on a CD?

Hi, I have "Easy Media Creator 10 Suite". Purchased in 2007. When I record from mike and then use LP and Tape assistant to burn a disc, in the bottom left corner of the window it says, Tracks: Time recorded: Time left on drive: Time left to record. So it's the time left on drive that is slowly going from 240 hours, now at 158 hours. I don't know how to reset it to start over. All recordings on my computer have been deleted from what appears to be everywhere (even used disc cleanup) including recycle bin. I am using a windows 7 on a notebook with an external disc drive for burning the discs. Any ideas very appreciated. Thanks in Advance.

The number you see represents the anticipated file size based on the Recording Format and the HDD Free Space:
Here it is set to Wave:
and here I changed it to WMV Low Quality:
Of course you have to have it set to the Drive you are using:
Does that help??? It sounds like you are on the right track but just not pointing to the drive you cleaned

That timer reflect the available space on your hard drive. If you create all sortts of other files on your hard (temp files, etc), files that can be created by any program you run, the hard drive space is reduced and hence the available time is also reduced.
Have your done cleanup up of your hard drive lately, ie. removed all temp files etc?

Yes, I have done full disc cleanup of C drive using windows 7 clean up tools. It appears that after I record and then burn a disc the timer goes down the appropriate amount but stays down even after I have deleted from recorded temp files, recycle bin and windows 7 disc cleanup. I use this notebook for very lttle, no downloads or anything much else. Thanks for your response. Penny2

Try using the free CCleaner to clean up your hard drive. You can download it free from cnet.com. There are things like IE browsing history and others that you may want to clean. CCleaner will do all of that.
Do not use the registry cleaner part of that program.

Yes only problem,(however I don't utilze alot of the program) but I'm concerned that once it reaches "0" I won't be able to record or burn discs.
Also when I check my hard drive space it shows more than half of c drive empty. And it does shows a change once I clean up all.
Thanks again All Penny2
