I don't recall this issue being raised before so I'd like to know more about it. Does the volume change within a track or is it between one track and the next? What is the source for the tracks - are they from different kinds of sources? Did you use the default Toast settings?
As an experiment, rip an audio CD with iTunes and drag just those tracks to create a music DVD. Choose Save as Disc Image from the File menu. When that is finished mount the disc image. This should launch DVD Player and where you can play the tracks. Is the sound still variable?
One more thing: Are you using Toast 7.1? Are you up to date with QuickTime and your OS?

I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

Thanks for the reply.
Volume does change between one track and another,Source for the tracks are from different kinds of sources, some are from imported music from cds some are from music downloaded from the net.,all music is on iTunes and soundcheck is on and it plays fine on my computer.I am using Toast 7and everything is up to date.I have a G5 computer.
Just updated to Toast 7.1
Default Toast settings ??
Excuse me for sounding dumb, but not sure I understand the experiment. You want me to rip [burn ] an audio cd with iTunes.

Now that I understand what's happening there is no need for the experiment. What I wondered was whether tracks from the same source would have the sound level variations, but I'm pretty sure your issue is due to the the levels of the source files you're using and not an issue with Toast changing the levels during encoding.
