To start with, your VHS recorder/player is an analog device (like the old time watches with arms) . Your computer is digital (just like the watches with only numbers). You must have a device to convert the analog signal to digital. Do you have such a device?
You need to got from your VHS player output both video (yellow) and audio (red and white) to the capture device and have the device plugged into the USB device plugged into your high speed USB port. There are some devices that are not USB but the USB is the most used. It looks like this.
The devices are specific for the version because they may have different drivers; contact Roxio to make sure you get one that works. Others make similar devices but they may not work with Creator 2010. You woulod have to use their software to capture and then you could use Roxio to edit and burn.
BTW, use Video Capture to select the device and to do the capture.

Howeverr your adaptor doesn't seem to be switchable for input/output - it's switchable between composite (CVBS) and Luma/Chroma (Y/C)
Check this thread for info on a switchable adaptor

In your earlier post (#6), you said you bought this adapter http://www.amazon.co...15398577&sr=1-3
If the answer is yes, then tell us were you have got the Yellow/Red/ White leads plugged into. be specific.
The output switch on the scart should be set to OUTPUT. The S-VHS connector is not used when you are using the Composite Y/R/W composite cable.

"The scart plug i bought on roxio's advice was similar but not the same....on the scart plug there is a switch marked CVBS and Y/C"
Persionally I never came across one of those and don't know if it will operate or not as an oputput connection (it could be input only - I'd need to see the specs on it to bge certain)
