I have a .gl file created with Ver. 9. Program won't work with Win 7. Win 7 computer came with Easy Mediator Creator Ver. 10. Unable to find out how to restore the .gi file (both on hard drive and burned to disk)so that I can view the documents and photos.

Unless you paid extra for that software, it is an OEM version (read this linked article) modified for/by the computer manufacturer. Support of that software comes from the computer manufacturer.
You probably have Creator 10.? that will run with W7; Roxio's EMC 10 will not.
Does your version loook like this?
Unfortunately with not knowing what you really have and the fact that it is OEM software, we would have a hard time helping you.

Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.

Did you know that the blue text were links in my reply above and below?
Download and run ISObuster. The free download should allow you to see what is in the gi file. You can buy that if the files are worth recovering.
