I'm new to EMC8, but I used v5 and v6 for a while. Is there a way to import previously created playlists for printing for CD cases (not CD labels- just stock paper) and/or reading tag info off custom and pro CD's for playlist track listings for insert printing for cases? Or, do they have to be created by EMC8 in order to work with them? Thanks.

Oh-oh. From reading other posts, it seems that this may be a sore subject with this software. Not trying to create any conflict here.
Am I gonna be able to burn CD's and print a cd case front and a tracklist insert for what I just burned? Or, do I have to use Surething to create these, as has been mentioned in other posts. I have both, but would really like to know what is the easiest process.
Hey, I'm really not stirring up the pot ... I just want to know what the best and quickest way to burn audio and provide printed inserts. And, I am reading the user manual, thank you.
Thanks.

You answered some of my questions, but I'm still confused over terminology and process steps. Wish they had a pictorial (screenshot) walk-through, but I guess I'm supposed to sweat it out like all the rest.
I've been it I.T. for 35 years, but I think I'm starting to slip.

UPDATE
This time I was able to burn the cd with cd-text (used Cdex to prove it, but only lists in write drive - not in cd-rom drive...wierd), it performed sound balancing and everything on the burn side was good.
Cranked up Label Creator, selected style, smart objects (including artist and tracklist), but when I did the auto-fill from CD for the back layout it only provided the song title and runtime for every track...but not artist, even though it was included in the cd-text. It did provide artist and cd title on the front layout though.
What's the work-around, if there is one, to get the track artist included with the track song and time?

The work-around I am using is bringing up Label Creator in Roxio ECDC version 6, selecting "Add CD Contents" from the menu and creating my label with the older program. Label Creator version 6 reads and prints title, artist, and length (duration) of each track, even if you created the disc with EMC 8. The Label Creator in version 8 doesn't bring up all the info for the track list, and it's much harder to navigate around the newer version (8) as well. Version 6's Label Creator is very straightforward, simple, fast, and extremely easy to use. Can't say that for my experiences with 8. Save yourself time on each label, create labels with Version 6 if you've got it!

Don't have ver 6. I wouldn't have changed from v 4.XX (that I used with amazing ease), but can't be used with XP. I'm really disappointed in myself that I didn't investigate v8 more thoroughly...and saved my money.
