When I create a DVD with the fit to disk option, is the entire movie compressed at the same level/amount or is the compression variable depending on the complexity of scenes/frames?
Where can I find out more tech info about how this option works?

It's all compressed at the same level.

DVDRemasterPro 3.0 allows you to compress different parts of a DVD at different levels. Like the trailers if you want them.
