Will videowave projects from creator 2009 open with 2011 or 2012 creator? And be useable?

Going by past experience - probably not

However, a project is simply a layout for the finished job. Finish it off in whichever app you are using and then upgrade

Oh WOW !  

I found a dmsm project on my computer from  2007.  It opened and played once I re- linked the pictures. What is interesting is that it was a Slide Show Assistant production edited in Video Wave so there were multiple tracks for images and multiple transitions.  Unfortunately I never put music in it so I don't know about that.

It may work but it will not be totally automatic. I think the big change came between Easy Media Creator 10 and Creator 2009.

I don't remember what version I had in 2007 though !   Possibly Creator 2009!
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.
