Whenever I click the burn to disc button, the screen that is suppose to pop up for me to make the selections for the disc flashes briefly in the corner.  Then the program freezes up forcing me to reboot the computer.  The program has worked fine until recently.  Any help would be appreciated

No changes have been made to the system.  I was able to successfully burn a DVD Friday night.  When I went to do another project for a friend on Sunday, it did the screen pop-up/disappear routine.  Only thing that was done was a defrag on the computer

When you did the defrag, did you by any chance also run a 'registry cleaner' on your system?
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed

I think I might have.  What would running a registry cleaner do?

Damage the program - most registry cleaners will wipe out keys they aren't sure of (and in general they're bad news)

You may habe to do the clean uninstall routine and re-install

I did the clean uninstall routine and re-installed.  Problem is still happening.  Welcome any ideas as to what I may need to change either in the program or to the computer to fix it.   I'm running Windows XP if that is anyhelp

Try again; sometimes it has to be done a couple of times.   Did you use the correct un- installer in that linked post since you mentioned XP?

If that doesn't work, download and run REVO Uninstaller in the Moderate mode.  It is a free program that you can   get it  here;   no need for the Pro..   Note that it will use the built in Creator Uninstller and then do a search for the registry for safe to remove registry entries.  Sometimes it does a better search for them.  Agree to remove the registry entries and the remainder of the folders.

How often do you get rid of temporary and junk files and hpow often do you defrag your system drive?  There are some    free  tools here   that can help.
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.
