Hi all...

I recently purchased Roxio in an attempt to burn discs in my external Plextor DVD/CD drive from data stored on my hard drive. I am able to burn the disc successfully, but the Roxio program freezes up once the transfer hits 100% complete. It will also freeze up my external drive at that time, which forces me to turn off the drive w/the disc still in it, along with forcing me to reboot my computer to close Roxio. Also, a "control/alt/delete" will not work at this point, either.

This happens every single time I burn one disc from audio/video data stored on my hard drive. I run Windows XP and, as far as I know, I am up to date on everything.

Does any one have an idea of what I might be going through, here??

Thanks for any/all help any one can offer.

Okay, you need to learn a lot more about your computer. Is your firmware up to date for your external Plextor? Have you gotten rid of spyware/malware and checked for viruses on your computer? Have you defragged your hard drive lately?

Even though you are burning to an external Plextor, all aspects of your computer come into play, and you need it to be running efficiently to be successful in your burns.
Life is good!
