Creator 2011 Can Not See .tivo Files

Question

Following the strictest error reporting protocol...

 

 

 

Error code or issue: Roxio Copy and Convert shows folder containing numerous .tivo type files as empty

What kind of project were you working on: Attempting to convert tivo files to avi

What kinds of files were you using and where did you get them? Files transfer from Tivo Premier using Tivo Desktop Plus

Did you complete your project or did it stop at a certain point in the process? Never started

Have you ever successfully completed the task that you are contacting us about? No

Did you make any changes to your computer recently? (new applications, updates, etc) If so, what? No

Processor speed: 2.7 GHz

RAM: 6 G

Free hard drive space: 1 TB

I last did an operating system update on: Never

 

This issue appears to have existed for some time but I see no resolutions posted. Frustrated. Thanks

Are the files showing a red circle with a diagonal line? If so that means they aren't recognised and there could be a variety of reasons (*.avi is a generic term and could be any one of a number of codecs)

 

Alternatively, they could be DRM protected, in which case they won't work either

No and no. They are not showing at all. It's as if the directory is empty. The files are recordings of broadcast TV that can be opened from the same location by Video ReDo. No DRM.
