Slide Show with Data Options? Is it possible to create a slide show DVD that also includes a direct

1. I created a slide show and saved it as an MPEG. I plan to create a DVD of the slide show to give to people. The slide show is less than 1 GB. I'd like to also create a data directory on the DVD with the original pictures used in the slide show so someone using Windows Explorer could get to the JPEG images in case they want to save or print them. How would I do that?
2. Is it possible on the same DVD to add a menu option that would allow the user to see slides one at a time instead of as part of the slide show video so they could step through them one at a time at their own pace? I'm thinking of adding arrows that they could click on to move forward, back, and to the the previous menu.
Thanks,

Bill,
When creating a slideshow you can add and image file on the DVD, however, create the project in videowave, save as.........it will be a .dmsm file. At this point open up MyDVD and add the project. You can either burn it to a DVD or you can burn it as an .iso on your hard drive. Either way you can choose to include an image folder. If you choose to burn an .iso then you use disc copier to burn it to a DVD. It is the general consensous of opinion that using the .iso method produces the most compatable discs. I don't think there is a way to add an image folder now that you have saved it as an MPEG. Possibly someone else can give you a more difinitive answer. As for you second question, I don't think it can be done, but there again possibly someone else has an idea.

Bill, I hope I made it clear that you would need to reproduce the slideshow in videowave (not using the MPEG that you have)

You will probably have to make that slide show twice; if you want everythng. Once in VideoWave to get the show and the orignal images and the second in MYDVD. If you click on the Add slide show and add the images (no more than 99 per show) then go to step 2 and use the DVD projector transition, people will be able to use the DVD player's remote to go forward and back. If you have more than 99 images, you can just make several.
Just in case, I've included a screen shot that shows where you click to archive photos.

For # 2, there is, sort of. It will also depend on how big the project is in MyDVD.
Once you've added your Videowave project to MyDVD and saved that Mydvd project, Select the 'Add Slideshow' optoin in the Menu Tasks pane (on the top left). This will open up the Slideshow Assistant.
On Step One, use the Add Photos to select the same pictures you used in your VW project (see Note in Step Two). You can drag them around to rearrange them if you want once they are added. Do not add background audio, click on next.
On Step Two, change the Transition Style to DVD Projector (this gives you manual control of moving forward/backward thru the slides) then click the Finish button. [Note, that you are limited to 99 pictures per slideshow for this type of style, so if you have more than that, follow the same procedure adding more 'manual' slideshow buttons to MyDVD project until you have them all]
You should now have a Menu item labeled Slideshow. Just rename it to what you want.

I made my DVD with 6 slide shows created with the MyDVD "add slide show" option and put them in a menu. I set the Archive Photos option and created an ISO image and then burned it to a DVD. The DVD works great but I noticed that MyDVD only archived the first slide show. I'm missing a lot of pictures. I tried the same thing but selected the Create Folder Set option instead of ISO and got the same thing. Is this a bug in MyDVD that it can only archive one slide show? And if I create a folder set, can I just copy my images to the YOUR_PHOTOS folder and then copy that and the VIDEO_TS folder to a DVD and get the results I want that way?

Obviously, if you burn a DVD with the slide show AND the photo files, you'll need a computer with a DVD drive to access the photo files.
What if a relative only has a CD drive? Can you put (small) slide shows onto CDs instead of DVDs? I know it wouldn't run in a standard DVD player (or would it?).
Also, I know I can e-mail jpg files to my friend who has a Mac, do you think she could read the DVD files that are jpg? (assuming she has a DVD drive...I don't know a thing about "fruits"!)
So many questions ....

I don't recall seeing any posts about it only archiving some of the photos, so it may be somehting no one else has noticed. I would say, for now at least, that yes do the folder set option, copy the image files to the YOUR_PHOTOS folder, then try burning it. It should work. Could always use an RW disc just to test it first.

Yes, from MyDVD, New Project - VCD or SVCD. Then Add Movie and burn as folder.
In Classic, add the folders created by MyDVD and the picture folder to a Data CD project.
If it still fits, Burn.
Edit: Correction: MyDVD does not offer burning VCD projects to folder. Burn to Disc (RW?) then add those folders to Classic along with the Picture folder.
