I have an Epson Artisan 810 All-in-One printer, which is able to print directly onto a printable CD, but the supplied software doesn't allow me to read the contents (track info) and print it onto the CD.  Is it possible to make Creator 2009 print onto a printable CD?  If not, can I do it with a newer version of Roxio software?

Thanks!

Which of the two apps are you using? There is a cut down express labeller and also a fuller version.

Also how are you trying to access the information? If it's a home compilation this will not be on the database (and also if the mp3 tags were missing from the original files, again there will be no track info)
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed

To support what Daithi said,  you have ot make sure the information is there.  Make sure you have select "add cd text when you make the CD" in the project settings options.   Use the autofill from disc to get the information to the printer.

What happens if you use the software that came with the printer to create the labels? I have an older version but it works just fine for me.

Sorry, I don't have a screen shot from Creator 2009 but this is from Creator 2012.  It should be pretty much the same for you.

Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.

In my C2009 Ultimate I Import from CD/DVD in Music Disc Creator. Then from tools, Create Disc Labels and Inserts, with Disc checked, in Express Labeler, the Disc Info is filled in..

Will that work for you?

OK, my opening screen says Roxio Creator DE... is that the Express edition?  I know that I can't create a label without first writing a CD.  I'm well familiar with creating paper labels for CDs but I can't make my printer make a label on a printable CD. I suppose that this is a limitation of the Express version?

I know that all of my earlier editions offerred the labeling application without having to write a CD.   BTW, none of my Roxio screens look like those that were posted in the replies.

Here's the info from the Help / About this Software box:
Roxio Creator DE
Version: 9.0.116
Build: 901B16M, DL2
Serial Number: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Copyright: Sonic Solutions 2006

Module Name: PX Engine
Build: 3.2.52a, 99
Copyright: Sonic Solutions 2006

Module Name: Roxio Core
Version: 3.3.0
Build: 331B17F, DLD
Copyright: Sonic Solutions 2006

Module Name: Roxio Creator Audio
Version: 3.3.0
Build: 330B49G, DLD

Module Name: Roxio Creator Copy

Module Name: Roxio Creator Data
Version: 3.3.0

Module Name: Roxio Creator Tools
Version: 3.3.0
Build: 330B40C, DLE

The labeling application isn't available from any menu; only after creating a CD.

When I click on the Laser Label Disk selection in the Tools menu (That's the only labeling option I have from the main screen), I get an Application Error / Exception EAccess Violation in module dwwin.dll .... (probably because I don't have a Lightscribe drive).

I guess I'm faced with upgrading my version of Roxio.  I'm guessing that my issues are related to having the Express edition rtather than Deluxe or better.  Which version must I upgrade to that will give me the labeling application without first having to create a new CD?

You have an OEM cut down version of the Creator 10 (old version); possibly 10.3 although you may have something older Creator 9DE. .

You got it free from Dell who modified it for their computer customers.  Yoiu must get your support from Dell.  They are usually pretty helpful.

If the program is working for you now and it is all you need, consider buying a stand alone software program.  The program in Creator are based on the Surething Deluxer Labeler.  It will do an auto-fill from the disc if the information is there.

Hi Dave.

You actually have Creator DE, version 9.0.116. By the look of the burning engine modules it's the old 2006 version.

Would you please go to the top toolbar, click on Tools, and see what drops down. Does yours have the 'Print Disc Label' item like my version 9.0.x does, and if not then what items does that show, please?
