I just purchased Easy CD and DVD Burning. Before I open it I thought I better confirm. Does Easy CD and DVD Burning also offer selectable gaps? Thanks.

As you can tell by the price?
Easy CD and DVD Burning (in Red Box): Vista & Windows 7 Compatible, is a cut down, bare bones, won't have what you want/need, neutered version!
My suggestion take it back you won't be happy.
As to V-7 not working in XP. It should but newer versions of IE and WMP will break V-7...

The virus made my machine not recognize my optical drives. I also could not roll back to an earlier date. SONY's Omnitech Support got the optical drives operational again, I believe just by reinstalling the drivers. The first hint of problems with V7 was the first re-start when the "Drag to disc could not start because components necessary to run are missing." error message popped up. I researched it and tried all the solutions: repair, reinstall, clean registry and reinstall, re-register the two .dlls. Nothing worked. And then I discovered that the other V7 apps I used were broken too. Given my druthers, I'd really prefer to stick with my V7 than upgrade. Do you guys know of anything else I might try before upgrading to Creator 2012?

The Red Box is based on EMC 10 products which stopped in 2008... IF Roxio had followed that naming convention the 2012 Suite would be 'EMC 14'

So I'm debating justing installing my Red Box, which I think will suit my purposes, or maybe exchanging it tomorrow for Creator 12. I'll report my results. Thanks.

IE8 and WMP 10 both kill EMC 7. Nothing beyond IE6 and WMP 9 will allow EMC 7 to function like it should.
