Component Cables Won't Work For My Tv!

Is there anyway to solve this problem? like switch up tv settings...or do i have to buy a new tv?

If all you have is Composite (yellow) then it won't.
The reason you only see a black and white picture is you're only feeding part of the video signal in when you try using 1 lead from a Component cable into a Composite input.
If you have an HD input other than Component you may be able to get an adapter to go from one to the other.
If all you have is Composite (yellow) then I'd think it's time for a new TV.
