2012 Works On Gateway Laptop But Not On Dell Desktop.

The Creator 2012 works perfect on my Gateway 5200X laptop. It however does not recognize the Sigma Tel sound card on my Dell Dimension E520 desktop. Operating system on both computers is Window XP Home.

Just so you know, I tried several different sound sources.

Update the drivers for that sigmatel chip an make sure it is  the default recording/playback device.

Dell has the drivers here.   Even if you have the right audio drivers, reinstall them because they may have been corrupted.
