Hi. I am in the process of finishing up a number of different slideshows with Videowave that I
wanted to transfer to MyDVD 8 so I could put them onto one DVD. The slideshows consist of
both photos and video. Is it necessary to output the slideshows as Mpeg-2 files first, or can I
just send them to MyDVD as a videowave project and then burn them to an .iso file? Thanks for
any information you can provide.

No need. After you have saved all your projects, Close VideoWave and open MyDVD. Select your menu style or build your own and then click on add new movie. Navigate to the dmsm files and click to add.
A suggestion, when you are ready to burn, click the burn icon and select burn to iso file. Let the project encode - go do something during this time since, depending on your computer, will take a lot of time. When that finishes, close MyDVD and open disc copier. On the left part of the copier window, navigate to the iso file, but a blank disc in your burner, make sure the right one is selected if you have more than one and copy the iso file to the disc.
Now, if the encoding hangs during one of the projects, go back to VideoWave. Open the suspect project and click the film reel icon. Select mpg2 for DVD best quality. The go button is on the left (always hit the OK button). If there is a problem with that individual project, the encoding will stop. Note the time and go back to the production to see if there is a bad image, transition timing, music file, etc.
By the way, if you are adding an introductory movie, that does have to be encoded in VideWave before you can add it.
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.

Josie, it would be a good idea for you to change your user name so spammers don't go wild with your e-mail address.
To change it, click on My Controls, at the top of the forums, then click on Change Display Name, which is under Personal Profile.
