First off, Roxio receives two middle fingers for not having a decent customer service program for both phone and the web....you guys really S the bed on keeping people happy. :)   As a result, I have to result to wasting your time, but thanks to those of you who have an answer to my questions.
1.  On a Mac G5, OS X version 10.4.7, how do I uninstall the COMPLETE Roxio Toast software?  (I thought I did it by dragging the app. to the trash, but I don't think it did it completely.
2.  I have an original disk that I purchased and have tried to reinstall it, but something doesn't work right.  Toast comes up, but it's windown doesn't open, nor do many of the functions work, such as "About" and I can't get the window to open, not even when inserting a blank disk.

I appreciate anyone's feedback.
Thanks,
Jason

Are there any Firewire devices (other than hard drives) connected to your Mac. If so, try disconnecting those and see if Toast opens its window.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

Tsantee,

Thanks for getting back to me.  No, there are no other devices connected other than one USB cable that connects to a printer.

Any other ideas?
Thanks,
Jason

Then I'm stumped except for these tips:
The process for installing Toast is to drag the Toast 7 Titanium folder from the disc's window to your Applications folder. There is no installer as such. The version of Toast and its bundled apps on the disc is out of date, however. Download the Toast 7.1 update from Roxio's site to get the current version of Toast, Motion Pictures and CD SpinDoctor. You "install those" by mounting the downloaded disc image file and dragging the updates to replace the older versions. (Actually, you can keep the older versions and put the new ones in a different folder).

When you launch Toast from the Applications folder for the first time you'll go through several windows dealing with set up and registration. When that is done the Toast interface opens.

I'm wondering if you may be trying to run Toast from the CD instead of from the application copied to the Applications folder.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

Hey Jason..don't quote me on this for sure, but I think you have to go to USER-LIBRARY-PREFERENCES.
Trash <delete> only the two files with the extensions of PLIST and PREFS in them that have to do with TOAST itself.
Then, re-install TOAST 7.
Let me know how you made out.
