This is the only patch that I found. I have no clue if it works with the EMC 8 Deluxe Suite.
What problems are you having with EMC 8?

Videogirl,
You will have either EMC 8 Deluxe, or EMC8 Suite. Run Creator Classic and hit Help > About, to find out which you have.
That patch is for EMC8 Suite, to bring the retail version from build 800 to build 805.
If it's incompatible with your software you probably have EMC8 Deluxe which should be build 806 already, and doesn't need an update.

I believe that he/she has already stated that he/she has EMC 8 Deluxe. I don't know where he/she got the patch from, since it is not listed in the list of patches on Roxio's main website Support.
Since I no longer have the EMC 8 Deluxe on my computer, I went looking for an update for it, but I only found the one in the link that I left. Do you know of a link that will help the OP, Brendon? If not, why did you post?

I've given up looking for a patch & I think someone who posted to my query is probably right-- whatever the fix was for EMC8 was built into the Deluxe version...
The specific problem is I get a terrific video all set to go, and when I try to output the video stops rendering at 1 second and a couple of frames. Doesn't matter what format I try to output to (have tried .AVI, MPEG-1 small size, MPEG-2 Medium Quality, others...). I've had this problem intermittently before; sometimes removing effects seems to solve it. Big headache.
Computer hardware guy says I have plenty of juice. I'm not very good with this aspect, so if you think it's a hardware issue be kind. My understanding is limited. I was having jumpy, jittery previews, and he put in a new video card that solved the problem. Tested the hard drive, cleaned up a lot of old programs... I can free up more space on the C drive today if that looks to be the problem.
It's a pretty effects-intensive video, lots of slo-mo, saturation adjustments, overlays & effects, so thinking this might be the problem (read something a long time ago about different verisons of EMC having issues with certain effects) I created a version where I took out everything but dissolves, saturation and slo-mo. Still no go.
Also tried removing & replacing large file-size JPEGs that might be too much for Roxio to handle with smaller files...
I tried rebooting, and uninstalling & reinstalling EMC8 Deluxe.
I'm out of ideas now, maybe thinking it's some production size adjustment I don;t know about, or a bad file that I just can't nail down. Too cranky to search the archives extensively, although ther's probably a bunch of info out there...
Attached is a screen shot of what I'm seeing.

First, why are you outputting the video, and why are you trying to output to a very low quality file?
What OS are you running?
Have you tried playing that first video file in Windows Media Player?
What is your ultimate goal for your production?
Have you tried saving your production, closing VideoWave, then opening MyDVD and bringing in your VideoWave production to burn to a disc or image file?

That's great! I am glad that you found the problem, and you are welcome, even though I am not sure that anything I did, helped you.
