Can someone tell me please how to rotate a video by 90 degrees that has been taken in the wrong orientation? many thank's.

Try right clicking on the video and selecting Rotate Clockwise or Counter clockwise from the right-click menu. If that doesn't work, then add the clip to an overlay track and with the clip selected, go into the Settings tab for that clip and choose the second tab, Position, and use the Rotation slider to rotate.
