Signal Isn't Getting Through

Question

Ok, so after having an utterly impossible time trying to get my roxio game capture card to work on an lcd monitor, i finally caved and bought a T.V.

I have a Hannspree ST289MUB 28" lcd hdtv.

i plugged in the roxio and get no signal, fine, i go through some tuts, and adjust the settings, i now get a great image on my preview screen, but the signal isn't getting through to my T.V.

it's been more than a month since i bought my roxio game cap, and i've had nothign but trouble trying to get it to work, at this point i'm concerned that i may have gotten a defective unit, i don't know what kind of defect coverage you offer, but i'm out of ideas, i really want this product to work, but between the accessories i bought trying to make it work with the monitor and eventually having to resort to buying a t.v., i'm starting to think i should have just saved my pennies and bought Hauppauge.

please, if i'm missing something, i'd really like to know what it is; settings on my ps3 and xbox are both according to the roxio tut videos provided in this link http://www.roxio.com/enu/support/gamecapture/default.html, and my roxio settings are input:480p/575p/720p/1080i TV Standard:NTSC_M.

my software is fully updated, and everything on the input end seems to be find, could the output port be bad?

thanks for any help.

The unit is just basically passing the signal through to the TV.

So there's only a couple of things that could be wrong.

1)This is the easiest. Are you sure you have the TV on the correct input? Not trying to be rude but it has happened before.

2)You have a bad cable between the device and the TV.Try a different cable.

3) The unit actually has a problem. If you call Roxio Customer Service they can help you. This is only a users forum and we can't help with things like that.
