I recently upgraded from Easy Media Creator 10 to Roxio Creator 2012, and now my Easy Audio Capture Gadget and the File Conversion Gadget no longer work. Can't find eveidence in the product literature or the website that they even exist anymore. What gives? Is used those a lot, especially Easy Audio Capture.

I'm not sure what you mean by "File Conversion Gadget
Easy Audio Capture is named "Capture from Sound Card" (mini mode).

I realiize that the functionality is available withing the application suite. File conversion is contained within "Batch Convert and Transfer". But in Easy Media Creator 10, they gave you two Windows Gadgets (i.e. Mini apps that can be installed on the Sidebar in Windows Vista and Windows 7). One was Easy Audio Capture which was essentially just a Record and a Stop/Pause button, and the other was a file conversion utility where you could drag and drop audio files and convert them to another format. They wrer very convenient. These do not appear to be available in Creator 2012.

In Easy Media Creator 10 EAC was a Gadget using Vista OS.

Thanks, CD. I never used the Media Conversion very much, so I'll just make a shortcut to the Easy Audio Capure app and put it where the gadget used to be. Yet another silly Windows invention gone by the wayside.

Remember EMC 10 is not compatible with W-7 any flavor...
