I have a big issue with re-installing my (last year) purchased Roxio Creator 2010 and receive no further support from Roxio "Support" Team since this version is "legacy" (not supported anymore, rather strange in regards to a 1 (one) year old product!!!)
After a disk-crash I have to re-install Roxio Creator 2010, however everytime during [Set-Up] the following message appears: "Set-up can not continue beacuse a more recent version of Internet Esplorer has been detected on this computer". After un-installing IE 9 back to IE 8, the same message appears. The only thing to do is click [OK] and set-up is aborted.
Is there a way to avoid the installation of IE during set-up, so I can use this product again????????? I used my (paid-for) "extended download feature provided by Roxio (useless as it seems now, and have the following .exe file: RoxioCreator2010_HX19AXC0R13.exe

C2010 doesn't install IE8!
Is this a new download of C2010?
Extract the C2010 download to a folder on your desktop and run the .exe.

Thanks a million!! I finally have it to work by extracting all the auto-set up files from the downloaded .exe file. Feel sorry for Roxio's professional "support" team they couldn't give me this solution 4 month earlier...!!!!

Hello,
Many different programmers use "setup.exe" to set up their software. It looks very much like you have several copies of setup.exe on your system, perhaps hiding in temp folders, and a setup.exe from Internet Exploder is being run instead of Roxio's file.
May I suggest that you clear your system's temporary file caches and any \temp folders you can find, and then do what cdanteek has suggested.
