The online update reads: Update the Retail (CD-ROM) English version of Easy Media Creator 8.0 Suite (Build 800B85C) to 8.05 (Build 805B30B).  The key word is "to".  I ordered a CD of EMC8 from Roxio, Build 801B16A which appears to fall between these 2 build numbers.  Can I update using this download?

There have been a multitude of posts on these boards, addressing your question.  The answer is no.  Doing a search of messages isn't against the forum rules.
