disc image of a CD won't mount on desktop

I have tried to make a disc image of a CD.

But every time it is saved on my HD as a Sound Designer file.

I want it to mount on the desktop as a copy of the original CD. Anyone know how I can achieve that?

I'm using OS 10.4.7

Control click on the Sd2f file and choose Mount It from the contextual menu. You'll see an audio CD icon appear and iTunes will launch.
