I just chat to the support group, NO luck. After 1 hr of chatting , and trying, they finally confirm, a know issue, that no sound will come out at the start up of "easy VHS to DVD" with OSX10.7. I have to wait till they fix the problem, they cannot commit to any time frame.
Very ,very, surprise that they don't seem to care about the customers. This is a brand new mac product, that i cannot use with the most recent MacOS.
It is my first Roxio product, probably the last one.
My macbook is set-up in 32 bit. OSX10.7.2
ANY suggestion would be appreciated.
If also you had good experience with competitor product, would be interested to know.

I'll find where I put mine and give it a try this weekend on my MBP running Lion. Are you using version 1.0.5 of the application? Have you started the app before plugging in the USB device? Roxio is sadly very slow with updates for its Mac applications but they still are selling this product so have some obligation to make it work with currently shipping Macs. Your frustration is understandable.

I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

I just did a test with the device on my MacBook Pro running OS 10.7.2 and there is both video and audio. So it isn't a software issue at least with my generation of Mac (which is now about 4 years old).

Maybe. You may have some audio synching problems when you try putting the audio together with the video in iMovie or in QuickTime.

tsantee,
Have you noted any issues with the sound and video are not syncronizing properly, when recording from a vhs tape?

I had this problem with Snow Leopard too. I finally found out it s the 64 bit address. If you are using lion, you are going to have to drop back to Snow Leopard. I created a partition on my drive with SL. I reboot into it and hold the 32 keys down on startup. This works great, I just burned a few video's from my grand kids. Lion is all 64 bit and cannot address this software.
Sincerely,
maicoman
Macbook Pro, running 8 gig of Ram, and Lion
