Bought Creator2012 in Oct 2011. Installed and worked, though would freeze the computer on many occasions. Always hit and miss as to if it would work without freezing up the computer. Recent freeze rendered the program unusable as it would not open. After each freeze I would have to push and hold the power button to restart the computer.

I spoke with support and they told me to uninstall and remove all files related to Roxio and Sonic. I did. Now, the program install freezes at the file "LibID: {88EE3620-5956-4754-9A6D-E4FD6B6C-9886}". I am using Windows Vista with SP2 and all files are up to date. I have used MS "Fix It" to remove files from the registry after "uninstalling" the program. There were many files left behind and I could not completely uninstall the program until using "Fix It". Then I installed again. Each time it freezes at the same file (LibID as mentioned above). I have not seen a similar install problem on this community. Computer is HP m8120N. 4GB Ram. 32 bit. No problems with other programs, just Creator. I had Creator 6 and it never worked right on this computer but was able to get it to work on old commputer that used XP.

Can anyone help with the program freezing at the LibID (above) while installing?

I had a phono/cassette/radio/cd player plugged into one of my USB drives. Once removed, this allowed me to unstall the program.

I still have a problem with the program freezing my computer though not as often. I have "Disabled" all of my Startup programs and the programs only occasionally freezes up my computer. It's a great program but it uses a lot of RAM (memory) and needs a lot of RAM to operate - at least on my computer anyway.

Define "it uses a lot of RAM (memory) and needs a lot of RAM to operate".
