After capturing the video, I should be able to "Save only" or "send to iTunes" or "Send to iMovie".  The option to "send to iTunes" is not selectable.

After I save it, tried to burn to DVD.  According to the support page, it says to open the applications folder and select the "Easy VHS to DVD for Mac Folder" and to double click the Toast Basic icon.  There is NO Toast Basic on my HD as described.  I have updated all applications.

Thanks for any help.  This is one of the weakest applications I have ever used in 20+ years of using a Mac.

Toast 9 Basic is an additional application that is bundled with the Easy VHS to DVD for Mac. It should be on the install disc and I believe it requires entering a registration key code when first launching from your Mac's applications folder. There is an update for Toast 9 Basic in Roxio's software updates page for the Easy VHS to DVD for Mac. You can simply download and install it instead of the version that came with the device. However, you'll still need that registration key.

When I complete a recording the choices that appear are Send to Toast, Send to iMovie and Send to QuickTime. Send to QuickTime is the one to choose if you want to add the video to iTunes. My guess is that you'll need to add it to iTunes after the QuickTime version is complete. If you don't have an application that can convert MPEG 2 video to a QuickTime video (such as an h.264 MPEG 4 movie) then you must select either Send to QuickTime or Send to iMovie at the end of the capture. The full version of Toast can do those conversions at any time but Toast 9 Basic cannot.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!

Nothing on the install disk but  a folder titled Easy VHS to DVD for Mac.  Dragged it to Applications folder.  All that did was install "Roxio Video Capture.app"  Version 2.0.1

That is all.  It works to capture the video, but cannot sent to iTunes and no Toast Basic.  I can send to iMovie and edit, but then to iDVD to burn.

Seems cumbersome at the best.

Another post mentions "Roxio Video Capture" and I don't know anything about it. According to the product description on Roxio's site the product contains an installation CD that includes "Easy VHS to DVD Capture software" and "Roxio® Toast® 9 Basic disc burning software." That's what I have. Meanwhile there are updates to both of those applications for download at Roxio's Software Updates page, so the only thing you need from the box are the USB device and its connecting cable, and the registration key for Toast 9 Basic. The bundled apps can be downloaded.

Does the box say what is included?

There is nothing I can find on Roxio's site about a "Roxio Video Capture" application for the Mac. I don't understand why the included software has changed nor why it is different than what Roxio describes as what's included.
