Hi Digital Gurus:
Had success in importing a videotape, and now want to do some simple edits to break it into scenes with transitions and titles. I found enough guidance in the forum to get to the scene selection screen and break the video where I wanted to . . . no problems there.
But, then I hit "OK", and all my work disappears, with no apparent way to retrieve it! The Camtasia video that had been guiding me suggests that OK triggers the opening of another window where I can drag and drop, but that's not happening here. Further, I can't do anything with any of the other windows as long as the Scene Selection window is open and I've selected the scenes, but not yet hit "OK". (Yes, I've already been through this three times!) Bottom line: Where are my scenes? How do I retrieve them?
As always, your help is most appreciated. Thanks.

Do you see the little down arrows at the bottom of the video thumbnail?
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.

Thanks for getting back to me, but alas, there are no little down arrows on my file icons. Just to be sure, I went through the process again, hit OK, and still see only the basic video icon with the play arrow and a title.

You have to be in Media Mode and not folder mode. See this.

Thanks again, but this doesn't do it either. I'm in Creator 2010 SE. Although it looks a bit different from the more updated version in your screen shot, I found and clicked it on the media icon, but to no avail. Still can't find my scenes. (Is it possible that this is a problem with the 2010 version? If so, I would have expected a patch, but there doesn't seem to be anything of the sort available.)
Meanwhile, I've developed a workaround for my purposes by simply trimming the same large file repeatedly and creating individual smaller files at the appropriate break points with discrete file names, but it's a pain to do it that way. I'm open to any further thoughts or ideas if you've got them.
Again, thanks.

Yes, a lot of people do it that way. Just remember to save the project frequently and even with 2 different names.
The screen I showed had the items "docked". Do you? The program has been this same way since Easy Media Creator 7 or 8 or 9--- in other words for a long time. The Se version for Video Wave should be exactly the same. Se is missing some non-critical applications.
Did you try donwnloading the video that I posted? I know you said it was a long download but there may be something in there that you can see that is different.
Perhaps someone else sees somthing that I am missing.
