Importing Media To The Media Selector

Question

I import media onto my hard disc before pulling it into the Media Selector for editing. The files in the transition folder I create are all in the date/time order they were filmed. When imported into the Media Selector they assume a totally different order with all having what looks like the same date/time. (Looks like the date on which they were pulled into Roxio). The files can be dragged onto the Timeline or storyline for editing but being out of order makes editing much more complex. Does anyone have any answers?

yet another useless post by beiker... His posts are typically wrong or contribute absolutly nothing :(

In VideoWave, Media Selector you have many options

First there are 2 tab:

My Media:

Folders:

You probably have them set to Thumbnails with Text. Change them to Details.

Note the little triangle that indicates Sort field & Order:

This works just like Explorer as well as most Windows selectors ;)

Change it to one of the Date fields:

Then switch back to the Thumbnails with Text view:

Take that for a test drive and see how it works out for you.

I'm not really sure why it's not working at your end. I was able to replicate the issue with no problem.

Beiker, which Roxio software program do you have and use?

Hey Bruce, are you not getting tired of asking the same questions?

It is pointless and a waste of time to respond to any of his posts. He make his inane cposts then forgets about them!

Back to the original question. As for the order, I believe it is a Windows issue or it may be related to what you are using for a photo editor. I remember having an option about the date but right now I can't remember where the orpiotns are.
