I'm not familiar with the OEM version that comes with the Mad Dog burner but did it come with a content cd? Actually, I'm not even sure what you're asking. It sounds like you don't have a content cd.

Let's assume your drive came with the EMC 7 AND a "Content CD" as well. When you start to install your EMC 7 you should click on the "Complete" installation. If you do, the program will start installing and along the way, it will ask you to insert the Content CD. Just take out the program CD and insert it and it will complete the installation. The content CD has lots of added files on it that you wouldn't have access to other wise.
Assuming your EMC 7 didn't come with the Content CD, then I guess you will have to just install the basic program and "x" out of the Add Content CD.
Based on the text you used in your post, I think Paul might be right in thinking your program did not come with the Content CD. Let us know if it did or not and we can help with the installation a bit more.

Figures it was something stupid that would make me feel like a dingy blonde!
I contacted Mad Dog like you said and they fixed my problem. Sorry to have bothered you all. Thanks for taking the time try to help me out. The only thing I have is an install disc that came with the Mad Dog burner that I purchased. The install disc has EMC 7 on it. Evertime I tried to reinstall the complete version it was telling me to insert the cd -content cd. MD told me to just install the typical and it should work. He was right, works great. So thank you all.

Don't feel stupid...everyone has a problem now and again, and the solution always seems simple when you finally find the answer.
Glad MadDog was able to help you out.
You might want to consider eventually buying the full program one day though. The "content" cd has a lot of extras in it that'll put some real pizazz into your projects. You don't need it, but page through the Roxio website and see for yourself.
