Just purchased a iMac.  Will EMC 8 software work on the Mac OS?

Not unless you are running Boot Camp and Windows (oh, the horror) on an intel Mac. It is a Windows program.

What exactly do you need to do? Would one of Roxio's Mac programs fill your needs?

Yep, that program is Windows only.  If you bought the software directly from us you could return it and exchange it for Toast.  Otherwise, I think bootcamp may be your only option.

I bought it online from Roxio.  It would be great if I could return it to get Bootcamp.  Let me know.

Could I use all Windows progams if I used Parallels Desktop?  I was thinking of purchasing that software.

No, bootcamp is apple's software that would allow you to dual boot your mac.  Basically it allows windows XP to run on your mac in a dual boot scenerio.  EMC 8 should work fine that way.  I wouldnt trust an emulator like parallels to run an applicaiton like EMC though, but you are welcome to give it a shot.
You should be able to contact customer service and get the exchange worked out.  Let them know you want Toast instead.

If I use bootcamp can I load my Windows XP os on my iMac hard disk?  I have an external hard disk.  Can I load Windows XP on that and use bootcamp?

Yes, I did buy EMC 8 through Roxio but that was months ago.  Can I still exchange it?  :)

I also recently bought Toast Titanium but would rather have Toast W/Jam.  Can I request a refund on Toast to upgrade to Toast w/Jam?

I took this off of our "Contact Us" page

Refund Questions
Roxio has an unconditional 30-day money back guarantee for products purchased directly from Roxio through our online store or over the telephone with our Inside Sales department.  Please note shipping charges will not be refunded. If you have questions about a refund, please email us at refunds@sonic.com.

So, if it has been a while longer then 30-days, your chances for refund don't look to promising.
