Hello i was wondering if someone can help me i am using roxio easy media creator 8 to burn dvds to disc - i tried two times to burn a movie and both times failed. i have now lost around ten gigabytes of space on my hard drive and can not find any files that use that much space, i think the program has saved them somewhere as a partially converted file.

I have successfully used this program many times, and it has never failed and caused me to lose storage on my hard drive.

Please would you be able to provide me with any information as to where you think these files could have possibly been saved to? if i go to my hard drive then open documents and settings and click on my name it says there is 24 gig used in that folder but when i open it there is only around 15 gig of files stored in there please help me

Thanks,

Mike

I'm not 100% sure myself but look in C:\Documents and Settings\yourname\Application Data\Roxio\VideoUI\Proxy   or maybe it's C:\Documents and Settings\yourname\Application Data\Roxio\MyDVD8\Temp
You can also right click on your drive, choose properties and then Disc Cleanup and it should remove all temp files for you.

Damned quote function in on the blink.  You do have an Application Data folder.  It is hidden.  Do the following"

Go to My Computer/Tools/Folder Options, click on View, scroll down to Hidden Files and folders, and click in the circle to the left of Show hidden files and folders. Click on Apply, then Ok.

Now, go look for the folder and files that Paul listed in his post.
