If I make a disc image before I burn my project does that make it so I can burn the project much faster by using the image later on?  What I am trying to get at is their a way I can get toast to do it's thing (compressing files and whatever else it does to get a disk ready to burn) so that I can  burn a disk fast later.  You see I don't have the blu-ray's I need right now to burn so I am wondering if I can get the project ready to go when I get the blu-ray discs in.

Yes. That's a great reason to create a disc image. Burn it later to disc using the Image File setting in the Copy window.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!
