Cineplayer With Wmp

Question

Windows Video Decoder Utility does not recommend using Cine Player as preferred decoder. MS says it is not compatible with synchronization feature of WMP10. Why does MicroSoft recommend purchase of this player if that is the case?

What are you trying to do and what Windows Operating System are you running? Windows 7 except the starter version comes with the Microsoft DTV/DVD Decoder.

Basically these plugins allow playback of DVD Movies on a Windows based PC. Most commonly used within Windows Media Player for Windows XP and Vista. By default WMP does not contain a Decoder, thus the plugin must be used for DVD playback.
