I am trying to backup my C: drive to DVD. Roxio Backup created a nice backup list etc. and created disk 1 with no problem; then the process hung on 85% complete on disk 2 (of 5 DVDs). This was after many hours - it was still on 85% complete. Have crfeated DVD movies and picture shows with no problem but this is the first time I have used the backup software. Any ideas on what the problem is?

Not sure of the problem you are seeing, but you would be much better off using Backup MYPC for doing backups. It does compression and you would probably use fewer DVD's to do your backup. It will also handle spanning up to 32 DVD's.

Oops - should have mentioned I have already used ntbackup to creat a big file on my HD THEN using Roxio backup to span disks. I guess the issue is not the backing up because this has already been done to my HD - just the spanning of DVDs.

I would still use the Backup MYPC. You can do what you want in 1 step. Just back up your whole hard drive.
I back up my 2 internal hard drives on a regular basis. Totaling more than 15gb to 3 DVDs in less than an hour.

Edit - One thing I am not positive on, but thought I had heard somewhere is that Roxio Backup may have a file size limit for any one file. This does not happen with Backup MYPC. It's output is actually one big backup file that will span the 32 DVDs.
