I must be an idiot but I cannot for the life of me get blemishes removed.  I follow the instruction, zoom, increase slider for size of blemish, then instructions say to "brush" over the blemish to remove.  Do they mean "brush" literally or do they want you to move the mouse with the bullseye over the blemish.  The only brush I find is in the special effects area and you cannot open that at the same time you have the blemish box open.

Please help---have family members waiting on wedding photos.

I'm not sure what tutorial you are following, but yes I'm sure they mean to "brush" over the blemish with mouse, not an actual brush. Click or click and drag if the area is larger. Blemish just blurs the spot a bit. You might like to try the clone brush (in the middle tab) if you aren't happy with the blemish brush.
