No where can I find what this error code is.

I have XP sp2, Ver 7.0 updated 7.5 no problems with program.

I insert the Creator 8 Suite Backup CD 1.  It does it thing, then it comes to
a temp file which asks, overwrite yes or no.

I tried not overwriting and nothing happened it just sat there.  I said yes
overwrite and got the error 000D.

I saw prior where someone asked the same error code.  Some guy just
asked him to answer some stupid questions, but no answer was ever
given.

I asked that lady but just went round and round.  No 000D error code

The darn thing will not install.  What do I do?

Since I don't have problems with ver. 7, how do I get my $106 back.

I had the same problem as you have for the past two months. I've beeen using Roxio since version 5, and did have some problem with its installation. At that time I use a utility application issued by Roxio to remove all remants of old versions of Roxio. It's called Roxizap.exe. After running this utility, followed by a restart, and a reinstall, the re-installation went through without a hitch.

I also found out that I can not modify or remove the folder called PFT4.TMP. It's located at: C:\Documents and Settings\[user name]\Local Settings\Temp\pft4.tmp. Apparently this folder is needed by Roxio ECM 8 Suite each time it restarts. If it can not find this folder it tries to re-install the Suite by asking for the file called "Roxio Easy Media Creator 8 Suite.msi.'
