I just bought this today, because I had been trying Dazzle/Pinnacle Studio12 and getting a problem with the video and audio being out of synch. The guy at Best Buy recommended this as an alternative.
I installed the software, hooked up the cables. The sound comes through just fine. But for the preview screen, all I see is like a dark screen. It doesn't say there is no video signal...
I tried using the Roxio video Capture USB with Pinnacle Studio12, and through there I get both video and audio, but again with the same problem of them being out of synch.
Not sure where to go from here...

Capture as an avi file. You computer may not be up to the requirements. Please post your computer manufacturer and complete model number. Turn off your internet, and anti-virus. The may be causing the out of sync issue..
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.
