I have tried installing Roxio Creator 2012 Pro Disc 1 8 times.  I have cleaned the registry and all Roxio files off the computer.  I have even tried create new account user to install Roxio.  It keeps stopping.  I bought the download from Roxio website.  The backup disc are being mailed.  I am attaching the 8 sets of log files to this post to see if anyone can help me get this installed.  Windows is completely up-to-date.  I have Windows 7 - 64 bit.

Application is dying during the installation of DIRECTX

You'll need to do the following
1. Copy all files to hard drive
2. From the folder run command line
setup.exe DisableProducts=DIRECTX_FEB10 Mandatory=0
3. Select No when prompted to download updates at beginning
4. After installation completes download and install DIRECTX from here

I have tried to install Disc 1 numerous time and get the same interruption, although I do not know exactly where the software is interrupted.  I have tried all of the above and am also running Windows 7 - 64 bit.  I have received several things to try from support and have tried each of them, some several times, all to no avail.  Has anyone successfully loaded Creator Pro on Windows 7 - 64 bit?

I have tried this solution also and was not able to see any different results.

Don't threadjack especially to a solved thread.  Start your own thread and attach the install logs.  Without that, no one knows what is going wrong!  Posted Image
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.

I think I have the same problem when trying to instal Creator 2012. I have copied all the files to the hard drive but don't understand what "from the folder run command line means.

Philt:   Don''t threadjack ! Posted Image Start your own thread and make sure you include a zip file of your installation (as above).

You need to go to the start menu and run cmd  Then  When the dos box open, change the directory to where your files are saved.

If you aren't familiar with DOS commands, to change a directory  type cd\ and press enter to go up a level and cd\foldername to go down a level.
Example:  you are at C:\Users\Name and you want to go to C:\Roxio
1.type CD\ and press enter (If you want D dirve, type D:\)
2. you would return to C:\, then type cd\Roxio and press enter
3. type setup.exe DisableProducts=DIRECTX_FEB10 Mandatory=0 and press enter.

Good Luck, I love 2012 once I got it installed.
