I have been a long time customer of Roxio products. I received creator 2012 pro yesterday and attempted install. After first DVD completed, it asked for reboot. Pc would not reboot. I had to recover c drive. I am running xp on sp3. Dual 3200 intel pentimento 4, 3 gb mem.

After recovery, creator 2012 pro install had exactly the same results.

I did not see anyone having exactly this problem in the logs but I saw a lot of problematic installs.

Any insight?

That sounds like a PC operating system problem rather than a installation problem!

What exactly is your definition of "I had to recover c drive".

Instead of looking at Roxio installation files (it installed) look in event viewer for a problem with your PC.

"had to recover c drive" means pc would not boot after install. In hindsight, I could have tried the safe boot feature. Alternatively, roxio could have taken an Inordinately long time after reboot after startup and I didn't wait long enough. I will take a snapshot of my system and try one more time.
